They are being humi\u00adlia\u00adted while forced to sacri\u00adfice their bodies in order to sur\u00advi\u00adve. For them, with no help from out\u00adside, it\u2019s almost impos\u00adsi\u00adble to break free and start anew. Alt\u00adhough this hap\u00adpens most\u00adly in Thai\u00adland, the so-cal\u00adled \u201csex tou\u00adrism\u201d is a very lucra\u00adti\u00adve busi\u00adness in Eas\u00adtern Euro\u00adpe as well.<\/p>\n

In India, the coun\u00adtry with one of the hig\u00adhest eco\u00adno\u00admic growth rates in the world, the eco\u00adno\u00admy is main\u00adly based on cheap child labor. Child\u00adren, who need the\u00adse jobs to make a living for their fami\u00adlies have to work many hours a day for almost not\u00adhing. What makes it even worse is that the \u201ccar\u00adpet slaves\u201d, as they are cal\u00adled, work for Wes\u00adtern Com\u00adpa\u00adnies which want to pro\u00addu\u00adce T\u2011Shirts, swea\u00adters etc. as chea\u00adp\u00adly as pos\u00adsi\u00adble. It is us, the gree\u00addy con\u00adsu\u00admers in Euro\u00adpe and the US that keep tho\u00adse Indi\u00adan child\u00adren enslaved.<\/p>\n

In Afri\u00adca, the coun\u00adtry whe\u00adre the slaves to Ame\u00adri\u00adca and Euro\u00adpe came from, the\u00adre is an even more cruel kind of oppres\u00adsi\u00adon. Human traf\u00adfi\u00adcking rips fami\u00adlies apart and takes away human rights. But even if a child sur\u00advi\u00adves, the trau\u00adma\u00adtic afteref\u00adfects are devas\u00adta\u00adting and ruin its who\u00adle life.<\/p>\n

The dream Mar\u00adtin Luther King Jr. had for the blacks in Ame\u00adri\u00adca is simi\u00adlar to abo\u00adli\u00adshing modern slavery all over the world nowa\u00addays.
